The Calgary Stampede is less than a month away and the Canorient Christian Association love to PARTY! Yee-haw!

What’s for dinner?
Adult meal: Bun Kabab, Chicken Tikka and Haleem
Child meal: Bun Kabab and Fries
And of course, there will be salad and dessert.

Will there be any vegetarian options?
Yes, we will arrange vegetarian options, but please let us know if you need one so that we have sufficient quantities.

Can a child pay to get the adult meal?
Absolutely! Instead of purchasing a child’s ticket, you would need to purchase an adult ticket to indicate that your child would like the adult meal option.

Will there be a DJ or band?
David, from Squiggly Sounds, one of our regular DJs will be entertaining us with his tunes. So bring your dancing shoes and be ready to show off your line-dancing skills.

What happens if I missed the deadline and need to buy tickets after June 30?
We highly encourage you to purchase your tickets by the deadline as the ’13 years and older’ ticket prices will increase by $5 on July 1!
We would love to accommodate all last-minute requests, but cannot promise that we will be able to say ‘yes’ to all requests. We do need time to finalize our arrangements and that last week is critical to our event’s success.

Where can I get my tickets?
Contact one of the Committee Members and we will be happy to arrange tickets for you or feel free to send us an e-mail at calgarycanorient@gmail.com. We accept e-transfers.

On behalf of the 2019-2020 Canorient Committee, I would like to thank everyone who attended our Membership Appreciation event on Saturday, May 25. Joel Lobo, our DJ for the evening, for keeping us on our feet and grooving all evening.
MaryAnne Perdek, our very talented crafter, for sharing her time, talent and materials and teaching us how to make beautiful cards.
Noor Tazeem, the beautiful lady from Lahore, who made our hands look pretty with intricate henna patterns.
Hatim and Nafisa, our Bohri friends, who brought some lovely goat curry, mutton paneer and butter chicken.
Felix and Vicky D’Souza, for the delicious haleem and sharing information about Kyani products.
Sandy Almeida, for her famous samosas and chutney sandwiches. We would be incomplete without these!
Peggy D’Souza, for the very yummy gol gappa, chole and bun kababs.
Sandra Vaz-Gonsalves, for the chicken patties, beef tongue, cake and of course, the hot buns!
Ginette Edirisinghe, for the delicious chicken/beef rolls, noodles and chicken curry.
Roselyn D’Costa, for the biryani, kabab rolls and bun kababs. They are always a hit!

I have only named a few key items from each of the vendors, but there is no doubt in my mind that they all put many hours of preparation, hard work and love into their efforts. THANK YOU very much! We appreciate YOU!

If you ever have a need for any of their services, please do not hesitate to contact the Committee and we will be happy to get you connected directly with them.

Also, a very big thank you to all the members who helped with setup and/or cleanup of the hall. Many hands make work light and your effort to pick chairs, tables and/or sweep and mop the floors helps to make our volunteering easier. THANK YOU!

For those of you who were unable to attend, I am sorry you missed out. Please remember to sign-up/renew your membership soon. Starting on June 1, we will update our email distribution list with the new list of members and do not want you to miss out on communication! Membership dues can easily be sent via e-transfer to calgarycanorient@gmail.com.
