Annual Picnic 2012

On what started out as a cool August Saturday morning, the Canorient Christian Association hosted their Annual Family Picnic. In keeping true to Calgary’s ever changing weather, Mother Nature stepped in, threw in lots of sunshine, and turned the day into an ideal one for a picnic.

This year’s picnic was held just a few blocks south of beautiful downtown Calgary at Stanley Park, Picnic Site 1.

There were games for everyone. “Dog & the Bone” (the ladies won…but only ’cause the guys let ’em) and “Bingo” for the adults, while the children got together and beat the living sweets out of a piñata.

Everyone brought their own lunches, but snacks of samosas and chutney sandwiches with juice in the morning, and cake, cookies and mazedar chai in the evening were provided.

Pictures have been uploaded to Facebook; view them here.

The committee would like to thank all those that showed up to make this event another successful one.
